Local Bands
There are some exciting bands lined up for the 2009 festival. Keep checking back at www.skatefestival.co.uk and www.christiansurfers.co.uk.
The Nailsea Skate Contest has seen some illustrious bands and DJ's perform over the years. Bristol-based band Transition have been making waves since debuting at Skate Nailsea 2005, with high profile gigs including the Bristol Acadamy.
Other bands that have graced the competition include Brother John and local musicians The Perrings.
Last year was electrified by Cornish rockers Buddies For Tea. The band was formed in late 2007 on a staple diet of electro-pop-rock and rice, and have attracted far-reaching interest in no time at all. They consist of a climatic culmination of energy and talent and provide a sound that cannot be missed.
Alongside this, we were also treated to the amazing voice of Tasha McCoy.
